The video editing course fees at Moople Institute are ₹55,000 for the 6-month Motion Graphics, Video Editing & AI course. A 5% discount applies if you pay in one go, which brings it to ₹52,250. That is the figure listed on Moople’s course page at the time of writing (October 2026). Fees can change between intakes, so confirm the current amount with your nearest branch before you plan your budget.

The price is only half the question, though. The rest of this guide covers what the fee includes, how it compares with cheaper options, and how to judge whether a video editing course in Kolkata is worth your money.

Most people searching this are not just hunting for a number. They want to know whether the cost is reasonable, whether there are hidden extras, and whether they’ll come out job-ready. So here is the straight answer first, then the details.

Divided across 96 hours, the fee works out to roughly ₹573 per hour of instruction. That figure is simple arithmetic, not a promise about outcomes, but it gives you a fair way to compare courses of different lengths.

Many short video editing courses teach one tool and stop. Moople’s curriculum is split into four modules, which matters because modern editing jobs rarely stay inside a single app.

Notice how the hours are weighted. Roughly two-thirds go to motion work and branding, with a shorter block on core editing and sound. If you only want to cut reels and YouTube videos, that balance may feel heavy on graphics. If you want to work in advertising, social media content or brand video, it is exactly the mix those jobs ask for.

The course also builds AI tools into the framework. Treat that as a supplement to your editing fundamentals, not a replacement for them.

Fees across Kolkata vary widely, and the reasons are fairly consistent:

A lower price is not automatically better value. Before you commit anywhere, ask these five questions:

Moople’s site lists a dedicated student workstation, industry-experienced faculty, a production-studio-developed curriculum and placement guidance. Ask the counsellor to explain each of these in practice during your visit. Watching a live class tells you more than any brochure.

The course page confirms the one-time payment discount and the accepted payment modes, but it does not publish an instalment schedule. Ask your branch directly about how the fee can be split. Moople also lists scholarship and financial aid programmes on its site, so it is worth asking whether you qualify.

You don’t have to travel across the city. Moople runs branches across Kolkata and the surrounding districts, including Chowringhee, Jodhpur Park, New Alipore, Sealdah and Baguiati, plus Barasat, Sonarpur, Serampore, Chandannagar and Berhampore. Students from North and South Kolkata and the nearby suburbs can usually find a centre without a long commute. Check which branches currently run the video editing course, because availability can differ by centre and batch.

A video editing course in Kolkata suits you best if:

It may not be the right fit if you only need a quick skill for personal use. In that case a shorter, cheaper course or free tutorials might do the job. Be honest about your goal before you pick.

1.
